Pull Through Scrapers

Designed to be used for riser, J-tube, spool; and another type of mechanical pull-through application. This is achieved by passing a wire through the pipe and then connecting it to the front end of the scraper which is fitted with a certified pulling point. The scraper can then be winched through the pipeline.

Typically, this applies to J-tub, post offshore installation, J-tube can become susceptible to marine growth, scale, and rust. These types of debris need to be removed using a Pullthrough scraper which can clean and gauge the pipework prior to the pull-in of flexibles. Other application includes cleaning and gauging of spools and other open-ended pipework prior to installation.

The standard model is supplied with two support/guide discs that assist loading and centralization in the pipeline, four sealing discs that drive, seal, and scrape, and certified towing points fitted at both ends of the scraper.

The scraping action of the sealing discs has proved successful in removing light deposits from the pipe wall; this cleaning ability can be further enhanced by the addition of brushes, plough blades, or pinwheel discs. Other design options include the attachment of brushes, magnets (for debris collection), and gauge plates (for proving and gauging). All IKS scrapers are designed to pass minimum 1.5D radius bends and negotiate full bore branches.
